Cost Reconciliation
In some states schools must also submit an annual cost reconciliation report that shows the actual cost of providing medical services to students. Schools may receive additional reimbursements for the difference between the actual Medicaid allowable costs for providing health-related services and the amounts received from Fee For Service Claiming.
The cost reconciliation process can be labor-intensive and complicated, taking up valuable staff time and often returning inaccurate results. As part of a revenue maximization contract, Accelify provides thorough cost reporting services to ensure that all eligible costs are included on the cost report. Services include training and assistance with cost reporting, including the calculation of cost settlement results and consultation for the district’s entire cost reconciliation process.
The cost report must accurately reflect all costs in order to maximize reconciliation revenue. Accelify finds value added areas for cost reporting by working hand-in-hand with school district staff to evaluate the cost report as it is being built.
