PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Accelify implemented it’s Medicaid billing systems for Norfolk Public Schools during the 2013-2014 school year. This included Accelify’s
AcceliTRACK, AcceliROUTE and AcceliCLAIM systems for managing service documentation, tracking transportation ridership, and claiming Medicaid reimbursements for those services. As part of its implementation for Norfolk, Accelify made significant customizations to its core systems to streamline the documentation and claiming process and ensure the district’s claims would be in compliance with Virginia Medicaid regulations. This included enhanced e-signature functionality and the ability to document Plans of Care (POC) and validate against them directly from within the system.

RESULTS:

Since implementing Accelify’s special education service tracking and Medicaid claiming systems, Norfolk has gained unprecedented visibility into service data and the claiming process using the extensive reporting capabilities available in each system. This visibility has allowed Norfolk to monitor IEP service compliance in real-time, ensuring students receive all the services called for in their IEPs/POCs and has helped the district identify additional areas for reimbursement growth, resulting in significant revenue gains.
