Accelify Announces Special Autism Awareness Month Webinar on Puberty, Sexuality, and Relationships for Adolescents with ASD

NEW YORK, April 26, 2016 — Accelify Solutions (www.accelify.com) announced today upcoming webinar in celebration of Autism Awareness Month. The webinar, entitled “Puberty, Sexuality, and Relationships: The Road to Adulthood for Adolescents with ASD,” will take place on Thursday, April 28th at 3:30pm ET and will feature special guest Wes Dotson Ph.D., BCBA of the Burkhart Center for Autism Research and Education at Texas Tech University.

During the 1-hour webinar, Dr. Dotson will discuss issues and topics pertaining to how to help individuals with ASD navigate puberty, sexuality, and getting along with other people in order to achieve a meaningful life experience. The webinar will include practical strategies for practitioners and parents for supporting adolescents with autism in building a quality, full life as well as specific tips and ideas to help families and educators overcome some of the key challenges they are likely to face.
This month’s webinar is a part of a monthly webinar series intended for special education professionals and those working with individuals with disabilities to build knowledge, gain expertise, and share best practices. Each webinar features policy experts, industry leaders, educators, and researchers with experience implementing best practices in special education. All webinars are free and occur monthly.
