NEW YORK, May 19, 2016 — Accelify Solutions announced today that Lisa Powers, Ed.D., has joined the company as Lead Consultant, Accelify Consulting, the special education consulting branch of Accelify. With more than 35 years of experience holding classroom, building, and district level leadership positions in special education, Dr. Powers will bring a wealth of knowledge and high-level expertise to support Accelify’s clients as they work to effectively implement Accelify’s technology solutions with the aim of enhancing IDEA compliance and improving special education outcomes.

“I’m thrilled to accept the position of Lead Consultant for Special Education at Accelify,” said Dr. Powers. “As a former classroom teacher and special education administrator, I am devoted to ensuring all students have access to the highest quality special education services. Having implemented Accelify’s systems firsthand during my time in Hampton, I am excited to help bring Accelify’s powerful solutions to other school systems to improve their special education programs.”

Dr. Powers comes to Accelify with decades of experience in public education as a special education teacher, building administrator and central office supervisor and director. During her time with Newport News and Hampton City Public Schools, Lisa was responsible for implementing and integrating the district’s Student Information, Special Education Management, and Medicaid claiming systems.
