The strength of the American economy is inextricably linked to the strength of our workforce. As the U.S. economy continues to grow, employers report difficulty in finding workers with the specific skills and knowledge that they need. In order to maintain America’s competitive edge, it is critical that employers have access to highly skilled workers to meet the challenges of today’s labor market.


Special Education Training Efforts To Get Millions

As school gets underway in many parts of the country, federal officials are doling out millions of dollars to help parents and teachers better serve students with disabilities. The U.S. Department of Education said it will grant $14 million to support parent training and information centers in 28 states and two U.S. territories over the next five years.


Nebraska adding high school sports for disabled students

Nebraska will begin offering high school sports championships for disabled students competing with partners.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports the Nebraska School Activities Association will add the new championships next year.
