Accelify, LLC is pleased to announce the launch of AcceliROUTE, a system designed to simplify student transportation management and Medicaid billing for school districts.

“We are very excited to be launching AcceliROUTE,”explained Alex Brecher, CEO of Accelify. “Transportation services are widely under–claimed due to the complexities involved with matching transportation services to Medicaid–covered health services.  With AcceliROUTE it’s all automatic – and this helps schools maximize their federal reimbursements under the Medicaid program.  For schools that do not claim transportation services to Medicaid, AcceliROUTE’s scanning capabilities provide a much more efficient method of managing student transportation.”

AcceliROUTE allows districts to build and import bus routes electronically.  Transportation logs used for student bus attendance are printed directly from the system and, once completed, are scanned back into AcceliROUTE using Accelify’s proprietary AcceliSCAN technology. The scanned data is automatically processed and imported with no manual data entry required.  Transportation services are matched to billable health services for Medicaid-eligible students to accurately determine the percentage of transportation costs eligible for Medicaid reimbursement. AcceliROUTE offers significant benefits to schools in terms of Medicaid reimbursement potential and increased administrative efficiencies.

AcceliROUTE was recently selected by Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) for management of its transportation information.  BCPS is the nation’s sixth largest school district, serving nearly 257,000 students in 230 traditional schools and centers, and 68 charter schools.  Additionally, Kenosha Unified School District, the third largest district in the state of Wisconsin, is using AcceliROUTE to manage its transportation services and the related Medicaid claiming. Kenosha Unified School District serves approximately 23,019 students.

AcceliROUTE has an intuitive interface and a comprehensive feature set that improves efficiency in documenting and tracking transportation services. Some of the key features and benefits include:

  • Ability to import student, driver, and route data
  • Ability to manage and edit bus routes
  • Batch scanning for transportation forms
  • Multi-layer validation for scanned forms
  • Ability to edit scanned forms
  • Student transportation services are automatically matched
to eligible direct health services for Medicaid claiming
  • Review and approval processes for scanned logs to prevent against errors
